Can a Excel 2007 Document Level solution be opened by Excel 2010, 2013 or
viceversa?
I am looking to deploy an Excel Document level solution; nonetheless, I am
wondering what version of Visual Studio should I use to develop a Excel
workbook solution that can be opened by the different versions of Excel.
For instance, a VS 2010 and Excel 2010 Document level solution can be
successfully deployed to be opened by the client with Excel 2003, or 2007,
or 2010, or 2013? Do I have to develop the solution with the lowest
version of the tools in order to offer a wider range of Excel versions
acceptance? VS 2008, and Office 2003? Or Do I have to develop the same
solution for each version of Excel, and manage the deployment by the
windows installer?
